What should I do if my engine is too lean?

If you pull and pull, but your engine never even "pops" or fires, it may be too lean. This means that the needle setting is turned in so far that enough fuel doesn't get into the engine to allow it to fire. It could also be that it just wasn't primed enough.

Make sure the carburetor has its initial settings. See the section on setting the carburetor in the Troubleshooting guide, and then see the section on Starting your engine in the Trouble shooting guide.
